Ausgangspunkt für ihr Buch Crab, Rock, Stick, Loss war ein mehrjähriger Aufenthalt auf Malcolm Island, einer nördlich von Vancouver Island gelegenen Insel. Direkt und im unmittelbaren Umgang mit der Natur entstanden ihre Zeichnungen auf Papier und Leinwand. In ihren eindrücklichen Bildwelten werden Elemente aus Geschichte und Legenden, historische und mythologische Stätten ebenso wie die unberührte Landschaft zu fantastischen Motiven, Metaphern und Symbolen.
