- Summary:
- An elderly lady hopes that her son survived the battle of Leningrad. On the 40th Anniversary of the defeat of fascism an elderly woman places a placard around her neck. She is still looking for her son, missing in action in the Battle of Leningrad. The film poignantly reveals the responses of her fellow citizens who are marking the anniversary with her. There is also black and white footage from during the war, followed by pictures of people in tears at the commemoration.
