Summary:

Seventieth anniversary film illustrating history of Russia from Tsarist era, through the October Revolution, and into the consequent development over the next seventy years. Contains footage of the Tsar's court and Nicholas II playing tennis, as well as scenes from the revolution. Later on, the exploits of the Soviet Union's miners, builders, farmers and cosmonauts are celebrated. There is also footage of a dogfight shot from on-board a fighter plane during the Second World War.
