- Summary:
- East German documentary recording the journey of a television crew through North Vietnam, from the capital, Hanoi, to the border region with South Vietnam. Focusing on the destruction caused by air raids on civilian targets, this film celebrates the Vietnamese people and their stand against the United States. The crew visit villages which have been wiped out by explosives, the mechanics of which are illustrated in a series of animations. Other scenes feature young siblings scarred by napalm, Catholics gathering to pray in an underground church and orphans playing on a beach.
