- Black and white film documenting the events of the Battle of Kursk, known as the 'Arc of Fire'. Includes aerial footage, scenes of warfare and the reunion of a former soldier and the woman he rescued from no man's land. A gathering of the veterans of the battle known as the 'Arc of Fire'. They approach the memorial tank and lay flowers. A little girl pushes flowers into the opening of a tank's gun. Footage of blossoms followed by explosions in the industrial area known as the Kursk Magnetic Anomaly. Scenes of heavy industry and drilling, followed by images of army engineers searching for signs of Nazi ammunition dumps. They carefully remove artillery round and lay it on the ground beside mortar shells. Civilians walk through a forest and lay flowers at the grave of a fallen soldier.
