In the name of the earth is a celebration of this beautiful planet earth. It is a musical atlas of North America. This work is scored for four choirs that evoke the landscapes and waterscapes of the North, South, East and West. It may be performed outdoors or indoors, but in either setting the choirs should be widely separated from one another (the information taken from program notes by composer).
Duration: approximately 45 min.
The text is composed entirely from place names, plant names and other terms for geographic and geologic feature of North America.
