The Philadelphia exhibit of Burford's panorama of Jerusalem opened in October 1840 at the Coliseum (Ninth and George Streets) and continued at that venue until at least December 1841, according to advertisements placed in contemporary issues of The North American and Daily Advertiser.

RBC copy purchased for the Penn Libraries in 2019 from Rulon-Miller Books.
RBC copy sewn but not bound; plate (panoramic view) detached from textblock, dampstained at head edge, and torn in three pieces along one vertical and one horizontal fold.
