"Cassadó wrote a number of works in the styles of famous composers presented as transcriptions, such as Pastoral (à la Couperin), Allegretto grazioso (à la Schubert), Toccata (à la Frescobaldi), and others. This was Cassadó's first and most significant publication hoax -- interestingly some of these false transcriptions are still taken at face value."
