Summary:

Der Maler Franz Radziwill (1895-1983) gilt international als bedeutender Vertreter des Magischen Realismus. 1923 ließ er sich in Dangast am Jadebusen nieder und schuf dort den Großteil seiner über 800 Ölgemälde. Seine einzigartige Bildsprache besitzt unverkennbare formale Eigenschaften, die im Rahmen eines fünfteiligen Projekts zum 125. Geburtstag Radziwill im Jahr 2020 Beachtung finden sollen. Das Projekt thematisiert Kontrast, Farbe, Fläche, Perspektive und Lichtinszenierung. Unter dem Titel "Inszenierte Bildräume" widmet sich der aktuelle Ausstellungskatalog dem Thema Perspektive. Die Publikation soll den Besuchern wie Lesern Radziwills Umgang mit Blickwinkeln und Raumkonstruktionen näher bringen. Das Franz Radziwill Haus in Dangast gehört zu den wenigen Künstlerhäusern Europas, die im Originalzustand erhalten sind.
