- Summary:
- The main objective of the VIII International Symposium "Modern Problems of Laser Physics" was to present the frontiers of modern laser physics and its numerous applications, as well as bring together scientists from all regions of the world to establish fruitful scientific collaboration. The invited talks were devoted to cutting-edge research on new trends of laser physics including applications for developing highly sensitive quantum sensors on a base of atomic interferometers, optical clocks, quantum computation and newest researches in quantum cryptography and so on. The symposium topics were new trends in laser physics; high-resolution spectroscopy and atomic clocks; physics of ultracold atoms, ions, and molecules; atom interferometers, magnetometers and other quantum sensors; quantum optics and quantum information; ultrahigh laser fields and attoscience; nonlinear optics and novel phenomena; nano- and femto-photonics: Foundations and applications; fiber optics and fiber lasers; applications of laser radiation from THz to UV in biomedicine, technology and other fields.
