Summary:

In 1981 artist Beatriz González (b. Colombia 1938) worked on the monumental tile mural of 12-meter-wide titled "Mural Para Fábrica Socialista", which is her own version of Picasso's Guernica. The diary Diario del Guernica was created parallel to the creative process, in which González accurately documented the genesis of the work. In the recently published book these handwritten notes and sketches are presented for the first time. The texts were also transcribed into Spanish and translated into English.
