The Batthyány-Strattmann and Trauttmansdorff palaces in Vienna are buildings with an impressive and turbulent history. They have been comprehensively refurbished, restored and extended to suit contemporary requirements. As a contribution towards a vibrant, historic city center, the palaces will not be sold in the context of speculative development but will be let for residential and work purposes. The book has been extensively illustrated, and recounts the history of the palaces using photographic documentation to illustrate the connection between trust funds, architecture, and artistic interpretation as a cultural statement.
