Edited by the Rev. Thomas Y. How, assistant rector of Trinity Church in New York, this religious magazine consisted largely of book reviews, both of religious and sectarian books. The remaining space was devoted to biographical sketches, religious articles, poetry and anecdotes, and a variety of religious news, including foreign and domestic news, news of the Episcopal Church, and coverage of the activities of various Bible and missionary societies.
