- Summary:
- The itane are the traditional designs of the Sikuani, an indigenous community located in the eastern plains of Colombia, departments of Vichada and Meta. Beyond its aesthetic value and the advanced technique in its application, the itane are a mechanism of memory and thought essential for the cultural subsistence and transmission of history and wisdom of the Sikuani. This book analyzes, from an anthropological perspective, the experience of the visit of the author and other researchers to the Wacoyo reservation, in the municipality of Puerto Gaitan (Meta)
