- Summary:
- Twist? is an overview of Camille Vivier?s work. It is a meeting of worlds. An encounter between curved, nude female bodies with avant-garde, anthropomorphic sculptures. Their shape refers back to the bodies. Vivier confronts roughness with sensuality. She creates her own world, which feels absurd, uncanny and touches the strangeness in ordinary things. Femininity is shown, but in a more abstract and gentle way than we are used to. ?Twist? faces us with voluptuous, straightforward, sensual and yet surreal bodies and sculptures which swallow our gaze.
