- 郭曾炘(1855Ł®1929)字春榆, 号匏庵, 福建侯官(今福州)人.光绪六年(1880)中进士, 历官内阁学士, ʹ部, 礼部侍郎, 典礼院掌院学士.曾奉命勘修"德宗实录".民国后寓居都下. 郭氏晚年所作, 起于丁卯年正月十一日(1927年2月12日), 终于戊辰年十一月二十四日(1929年1月4日), 共七卷.序中自言:'日记大旨有四:一省愆尤, 二辑闻见, 三记交游, 四则倾吐胸次之所欲言者.'郭氏一生历经咸, 同, 光, 宣四朝, 又由清季入民国, "日记"真实再现了郭曾炘晚年的真实心境, 从中可以折射出当时知识分子的生存状态及文化心理, 具有相当的史料价值和学术价值.
