Summary:
In this Photoshop for Architects training course, expert trainer Scott Onstott provides a number of valuable techniques in order for you to get the most out of Photoshop in an architectural context. This course is designed for architects, engineers, builders, and anyone that uses photos, 2D drawings, and 3D models to communicate their design intentions. You should have a basic working knowledge of Photoshop and the tools that are available in order to get the most out of this tutorial. You will start out by learning the fundamentals of digital imaging, such as understanding histograms and cropping a photo to a specific aspect ratio. Scott will show you how to develop photos in Camera Raw, how to work non-destructively to leave your creative options open, and how to expand dynamic range for added realism. This video based training course will teach you techniques to enhance AutoCAD drawings using Photoshop so that your plans can convey color, texture, and shadow. Finally, you will follow along with Scott to produce a short video by positioning a camera and cross sectional plane in a 3D model, and then alter the video with filters as a smart object. By the completion of this Photoshop for Architects training video, you will have an in-depth knowledge of the software, and be able to apply the techniques you have learned to your own designs. Working files are included, allowing you to follow along with the author throughout the lessons.
