- 本书选择了明代的戏曲声腔" 徽池雅调" 作为研究对象, 采用了历史比较法系联出了韵部, 让人们对明代" 徽池雅调" 的用韵情况有了系统的认识. 随着科学研究的深入, 交叉学科的研究越来越受重视, " 中国戏曲音韵学" 是中国传统音韵学与中国戏曲学相结合的一门新兴交叉学科, 本书从语言学的角度讨论了戏曲史上一些有争议的问题, 是戏曲学和中国传统音韵学相结合进行研究的一次尝试. 徽池雅调明显地使用地方方音入韵, 韵部与其它南曲不同, 但总体上符合"中原音韵", 认为" 南遵"洪武"" 不是讨论的曲韵, 而是就曲白的字音而言的. 通过与江淮官话的比较, 认为明代官话的基础应该不是南京话. 通过韵部统计发现韵部与声情之间有一定的关系. 通过用韵比较发现青阳腔与余姚腔相似性大, 与弋阳腔的相似性小, 青阳腔很有可能起源于余姚腔. 论述过程严密, 有理有据, 研究视角较广. 本书整理了选本韵脚, 为汉语音韵研究和方言研究提供重要的语料价值. 并做了部分校勘工作, 为戏曲研究提供了参考.
