With the help of friends and associates, Mr. Wynn secured financing and was able to hire some of the most experienced and capable talent in Las Vegas. Together, they put together all of the pieces needed to build a world-class, high-end gambling resort. At the time of its completion in 2005, the Wynn Las Vegas resort was the most luxurious and expensive hotel in the world. Wynn Resorts opened to great fanfare, but the casino-resort industry is quite dynamic. Today, Wynn Resorts is trying to navigate a variety of issues including increasing competition.
