Summary:
The advantages and disadvantages of temporary workers at the work environment are illustrated in this case about Logistics, a high-tech manufacturer in the Northeast. In particular, the case focuses on Annie Martin, who was brought in to work as a Database Administrator, a new position in the company. She was informally accepted into the Business Development Group, but as a temporary employee, she was treated differently by those with permanent positions. In addition, it appears that Annie has been having significant personal difficulties that she has kept to herself, which bring events in this case study to a head. Readers are asked to assess the situation, and company liability for the difficulties that Annie faces.
