Summary:

Trimo was founded in 1961 under the name Kovinsko Podjetje Trebnje (Trebnje Metal Company). The company was completely restructured and rebranded as Trimo during the national privatization program that occurred in Slovenia during the mid-1990s. Slovenia had been part of the former socialist Yugoslavia until 1990, when the country disintegrated into several independent nations. Slovenia is now a democratic multiparty society. Trimo became a publicly owned company in 1994.
