- Summary:
- In this case students are tasked with the development of a solution technique that is to be used to design a small distribution network. The case is based on a fictionalized instance of a real-world problem faced by a classified advertising magazine distributor located in the United States. Students are expected to analyze the problem, develop an appropriate solution technique, and then test the technique on a typical set of data. Students are also asked to consider the robustness of their technique and their network design in light of changes in demand and possible future expansion of distribution operations.
