- Summary:
- This case explores the life story of Canadian entrepreneur and businessman, John W. Sleeman. Sleeman is mainly known for his creation of Sleeman Breweries, a popular Canadian beer brewery, even though he had already started two other businesses previous to his brewing career. Sleeman's career path and life choices came with hardships, tough decisions, failures, and successes. The entrepreneurial concepts and lessons examined in this case, to mention a few, include: entrepreneurial bias, adversity quotient, intrinsic locus of control, and opportunity identification.
