- Summary:
- In this case study the author assesses the limitations an ethnic restaurant faces when expanding its market, along with discussing the process involved with that expansion. The case follows the story of Elizabeth and seven African restaurateurs in the UK: it evaluates the exogenous (e.g., prejudice) and endogenous (e.g., financial) factors that are critical drivers for immigrants' socio-economic growth and inclusion. From the perspective of these Black African restaurateurs the case study highlights the concepts of breakout and ethnic identity in a multicultural society.
