Summary:
At the Rio+20 Corporate Sustainability Forum in June 2012, Koichi Kaneda, senior director of Takeda Pharmaceutical, was convinced that integrated reporting would lead to a transformational change in corporate social responsibility activities. Takeda Pharmaceutical had been publishing 'integrated' annual reports since 2006. However, the early editions were just combined volumes of financial and nonfinancial reports. This text outlines the challenges and opportunities presented by integrated reporting.
