Summary:
In this third part, the main character Ewout is now seventeen and thinks he has figured out the world and life, and he will show that to his naive friends. He wants to amaze them, but also the world, with his 'performances' on streets and squares. In conversations with his friends, he explains how one can become a real personality, and what one has to do to become important and not to remain 'potty'. For Ewout, the importance of these conversations lies in the fact that, reflecting on the 'potty' friend opposite him, he exercises his own superiority and at the same time sees himself proven. But Ewout himself is subject to the powerful headwinds of his depression and his fears. In the meantime, the reader worries about what will grow out of this: a nasty manipulator and dictator, a terrorist? Or an artist? Because you could also consider Ewout's jabbing as a risk, a leap into the unknown.
