Letter dated 18 Adar 5645 (Thursday, Marc 5, 1885), written to Samuel Mohilewer, rabbi of Białystok and founder of the Hovevei Zion movement. The upper right portion of the letter is missing, and the lower left is wiped away due to water damage; mention is made of misuse or usurpation of funds (השגת גבול), disparaging comments, likely political, aimed at members of the Old Yishuv (Jewish communities in Ottoman Palestine) in print and correspondence, receipts of pledges and sums, and dispensation of funds between the Ashkenazic and Sephardic communities in the Old Yishuv.
