Summary:

Beginning in the winter of 1936, poet Màrius Torres and Mercè Figueras met and fell in love at a sanitorium some 30 miles from Barcelona. Both seriously ill with tuberculosis, they began daily correspondence when they could not see each other due to doctor-ordered bed rest. Màrius died Dec. 29, 1942.
