- "A note about these poems. The poems included in this chapbook were found among James DePreist's (1936-2013) papers after his death in February 2013. Pristine on the page, it was evident that Maestro DePreist, the author of two other poetry volumes, had planned to publish these poems while he was still alive ... Appended to this new collection is a manuscript poem, also found among Jimmy's papers, written by his mother Ethel, entitled 'A Sunset' in Dec. 1967. Finally, I would like to express my sincere thanks to Ginette DePreist for permission to print Jimmy's remarkable and lyrical poems.--David McKnight, Director. Rare Book and Manuscript Library, Kislak Center for Special Collections"--final leaf
