Notes:
The Giustiniani printer's device is on each title, featuring the Temple in Jerusalem.
There are woodcut decorated initials on the opening word of each tractate.
The text of the Mishnah is in two columns in square type, followed by the commentary of Moses Maimonides in small cursive type; commentary begins after each Mishnah.
The introduction to Seder Nashim by R. Jacob ibn Abbasi (with the correspondence to R. Solomon ibn Adret) is printed at the end of volume three.
Local Notes:
CJS copy (volume 3) signatures: 1-5⁸6⁴.
CJS copy with long inscription on the title page. This inscription is a donation record and a prayer to a certain synagogue in Sanaʽa, Yemen (the name of the synagogue has been erased). The former owner writes that he is donating volume 3 and 4 to a synagogue (CJS copy is only volume 3). The inscription is signed on Rosh Ḥodesh Nisan 5380 (April 1620).
CJS copy with a lengthy inscription on the final page; this is an entreaty for the coming of the Messiah immediately. The inscription is signed Zekhariah ibn Saʼadiyah ibn Yaʼaḳov.
CJS copy in modern burgundy calf binding, with blind-tooled border on the front cover; title and year of publication on spine in gilt.
