Specifically, the manual targets medical and forensic experts, legal practitioners and psychological counsellors. It seeks to address cases of forensic pathology, recent events including terrorism, torture, mass fatality incidences and cases of sexual violence (rape, sodomy, defilement) among others, with a view to ensuring quality investigations and procedures. The manual is also highly recommended as a reference text and resource for teaching forensic studies in colleges and universities and for training workshops.
