- 近代以来, 传统演剧主要是在文学史,政治史和社会史等西学东渐之后的学科分类体系下作为研究对象而受到关注的. 相关研究尽管取得了一系列可喜成绩, 但在总体上把握中国传统礼乐为核心的文化建制方面, 尚未能尽如人意. 笔者曾著"礼乐与明前中期演剧"一书, 特纳演剧于礼乐之中, 详考其历史衍变之轨迹, 并追溯其制度原因与精神原因; 近年又详注"明史乐志"一种, 遂有意对明代礼乐与演剧制度, 并个中具体音声之变革详加考订, 如太常考,教坊考,乐籍考,灵璧石考,冷谦律考(以上明前期),钟鼓司考,正德乐事考,嘉靖乐制改革考(以上明中期),万历乐事考,崇祯改制考,南教坊考(以上晚明)等.
