- Analyzes issues related to SBA veterans assistance programs, in light of economic circumstances of veteran-owned businesses. Provides brief overview of veteran employment experiences, comparing unemployment and labor force participation rates for veterans, veterans who have left the military since Sept. 2001, and non-veterans. Describes employment assistance programs offered by several Federal agencies to assist veterans in their transition from military to the civilian labor force, and examines SBA veteran business development programs, veterans access to capital, veteran contracting programs, and SBA military reservist economic injury disaster loan program.
