- Summary:
- Examines Senate passage of S. 754, the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act of 2015, to establish procedures for sharing certain cyber threat intelligence and information with private sector and nonfederal entities, including classified information. Compares provisions of S. 754 to provisions of House-passed H.R. 1560, the Protecting Cyber Networks Act, and H.R. 1731, the National Cybersecurity Protection Advancement Act, both of which would establish cybersecurity information sharing procedures. Reviews differences among the three bills in areas of liability, privacy and civil liberties concerns and enforcement of any violations, Federal agencies roles in cyber-information sharing, and sunsets.
