- Provides information on U.S. tsunami warning centers and programs that exist to monitor, detect, and issue warnings about tsunamis generated in Pacific Ocean; and to assist States with planning and disaster relief following tsunamis. Reviews H.R. 34 and S. 533, both the Tsunami Warning, Education, and Research Act of 2015, to amend the Tsunami Warning and Education Act and authorize appropriations for the national tsunami hazard mitigation program through FY2017.
