- Summarizes and describes controversy over use of high school educational credentials as a tool for screening potential military recruits. Addresses DOD efforts to standardize or unify its interpretation of educational credentials for enlistment processing, and reviews legislation to affect implementation of DOD criteria for a period of time ending Oct. 1, 1988.
