Summary:
"Neither of the two homilies found in this volume is included in the large edition of Bedjan. The first survives only in an Armenian version and centers around a rather unique lament of the Mother of Jesus who while standing next to the cross and her dying Son chides the archangels Gabriel and Michael for not having saved Him from such an ignominious death. The other, which survives only in a single Syriac manuscript, is a homily On Mary and Golgotha that according to tradition Jacob left incomplete at the time of his death. These two homilies appear to be the last two pieces of a long cycle of homilies that Jacob preached on the events of Good Friday"-- Publisher's website.
