Oweiss, a professor of economics at Georgetown University for 40 years, was born in Egypt and served as the First Under-Secretary for Economic Affairs in the Egyptian Cabinet. He was also an ambassador to the US. In this memoir he describes people, places, and events his life and careers in Egypt, the US, and Qatar, interpreting his experiences in the context of each culture's history. The book includes a preface by Bill Clinton, who was a student of the author. It is illustrated with b&w personal photos of the author, family, and dignitaries. Also available in hardcover.
