Highlights include almond, arrowroot, potato, and seed cakes; Bengal, Colonel Skinner's, date, Dilkusha, Kashmir, and sukat chutneys; cabbage and Bengal curries; Bombay, cinnamon, potato and meat, ratafia, and roly-poly puddings; blancmanges; dough nuts; floating island; meat porcupine; and tamarind preserves. Reading the volume from back to front are gardening instructions for plants such as cyclamens and fuchsias. Several pages throughout the volume are detached.
