- Whitman copy contains: a handwritten linocut card by the author to "Jean-Francois" (i.e. Jean-François Vilain) dated "10-9-2013" thanking him for purchasing the book; a second card is also enclosed, blank; four advertisements for the volume printed in black and red on ecru paper; one accordion fold format folder with four linocut portraits of Walt Whitman used in the text signed and dated by the author.
