Biography/History:
Messila Hadascha Colony (also known as Messila Hadassa) was a Jewish Colonization Association agricultural project established circa 1911, to be located in the Silahtar region, near Istanbul, resettling and providing for Jewish refugees from Russia. It closed during the 1920s following the disintegration of the Ottoman Empire and Jewish emigration from Turkey.
