- Summary:
- "Catalog of Losses was inspired by the collection of the Museum of Broken Relationships (Zagreb, Croatia), which brings together in temporary exhibitions reports and objects sent by people around the world - catalyzing symbols of their "departed" relationships. It presents diverse narratives of loss written by João Anzanello Carrascoza and photographed by Juliana Monteiro Carrascoza. Bleeding into two brackets - in alphabetical order, but can be enjoyed in any sequence -, the stories provide a double aesthetic experience. This "catalog" thus interweaves two lines of force: the writing of the word and the writing of light, the literary tale and visual art, fiction and photography. A collection of definite losses, never forgotten, but undeniably a human gain for the reader." (HKB Translation) --Verso Cover. This publication was awarded the FNLIJ 2018 Highly Recommended Seal.
