Cover title.
"Wolff Manufacturing was one of America's largest plumbing product manufacturers in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centurys. Founded in 1855 in Chicago, where it remained for nearly 100 years, as a copper and brass manufacturer. Wolff's market was tanks and fittings for confectionary businesses and stills for alcohol distilation. They even made some alcohol from their own manufactured stills."
"In the late nineteenth century as more municipalities installed water and waste lines to residences, Wolff, like J.L. Mott in the East and Kohler in Wisconsin, evolved from a metal works to a full service plumbing product manufacturer. Wolff manufactured values, faucets, waste pipes, sinks, rolled lip cast iron bath tubs and piping for showers."
