- Summary:
- "College towns maintain a unique spot in our imaginations. Linked to nostalgia for youth, they follow us and thereby send their image throughout the country. This is especially true of a university of world standing, such as Princeton, whose context is international and whose graduates are widespread. But although the University is central to Princeton, the town predates the University and part of its image derives from colonial Princeton, a post town on the Kingston Road."
