Notes:
A publication entitled Alden Park, Philadelphia (ca. 1925) in the Athenaeum's collection includes a "Survey of ground and buildings of the Kenilworth, The Manor, and The Cambridge at Alden Park, Philadelphia." The title page bills Alden Park as "America's finest apartment homes" with "property bounded by School House Lane, Wissahickon Avenue and Fairmount Park, Germantown, Philadelphia". The Manor includes 3 buildings facing Wissahickon Avenue at Chelten Ave. The Kenilworth has two buildings and is accessible via Kenilworth Road from School House Lane. The site proposed for The Cambridge is shown on School House Lane at Kenilworth Road.
The images in this set primarily include floor plans for the Manor Garage building. Some drawings are clearly identified, while others are identified or attributed visually to this set. Also included here are numbered drawings M11-13, M-17, D1, D4, A3 & K3. The numbers are from the original project, but their usage & presence in the collection with later drawings may present a later usage. Numbered drawings appear to be for the Manor buildings or lounge.
Forms part of: Architectural drawings of Alden Park apartment complex, Germantown, Philadelphia, Pa.
