Place of Publication:
Apr. 6, 1842.
Notes:
This drawing was previously identified in Laverty (1986) as WTU*003*003 for Girard College. New research, documented in Laverty (1994) "Girard College architectural drawings catalog", indicates that the dimensions and stair layout are inconsistent with those of Founder's Hall, as built. The outbbuildings at Girard, which were constructed around 1845, were by this period conceived on a smaller scale and style.
The style & mass of the building suggests a church or bank. Walter's account book & diaries for this period, located in the Athenaeum's archives, are limited. Walter appears to have been in the processing of moving. No visual match has yet been made with any of his churches of this time, as built.
Forms part of: Walter, Thomas Ustick. Architectural drawings collection.

Laverty, v.1, p. 235, WTU*003/004 [sic, WTU*085*009]
