Notes:
Construction photos for Rankin, Kellogg & Crane project no. 274. Photos have stamp on verso "Received [date] Rankin, Kellogg & Crane, Philadelphia." Photos show twin buildings, constructed on the same site. Each photo has a label, bottom left, with "Department of Agriculture, Laboratory [A or B]", photo number & date. Some data is illegible, but the photos appear to range from Apr. 19, 1905 to Nov. 21, 1907, including photo nos. 1-4, 6-23, 25(2), 26-62, 64-79, 81(2), 82-86, 88-92, 94-132, 134-176, 182-190, 192-201, 203-242, 244-248, plus two numbered photos, illegible, and two formal photos of one of the completed buildings.
Many of the photos have stamped on verso "Horace Woodward, The Evening Star, Washington, D.C." or "Horace Woodward, Photographer, 919 F. Street, N.W., Washington, D.C.", "Horace ... 1224 F. Street, N.W. ...". A few at the end "The Empire Photo Company, 34-35-36 Jordan Bldg., 120 G. Street N.W., Washington, D.C."
