- This building is identified from the name carved above the entrance. A stamp on the verso identifies the photographer as "Ph. B. Wallace, Photographer, 711 Walnut St., Phila." A list of projects, located in the Doe archives, includes the architects Rankin, Kellogg & Crane project no. 301 (1911-1913) giving the owner as the Carnegie Fund Committee (or Commission?) of the Free Library of Philadelphia. Wallace is known to have taken photos for the architects to document the completion of other project buildings. The location of Midvale Ave. & Warden is given in the project list.
