- This set contains multiple copies of 6 plates published in the American architect, v. 99, no. 1845, May 3, 1911. Two of the illustration show in the plates are reproductions of the architect's "general plan" for the multi-building complex, and also a rendering. The other images included on the plates are photos, for which the original 8 photoprints by "H. Parker Rolfe, 1714 Chestnut St., Philadelphia, Pa.", identified from his stamp on the verso, are also part of this set. The photoprint have the brief title, handwritten on the verso, "Wernersville Asylum". It should be noted that the original Rankin, Kellogg & Crane project, no. 200, generated som 255 drawings between 1892 to 1894. It is not known if the drawing used here are from that set, or created later.
