- Ballinger log book 1, p. 88-89 lists the following photo numbers: 803-804, 812-814, 956-960, 962-963, 978-979, 1016-1019, 1038-1040, 1045[A], 1057-1061, 1080-82, 1091-1092, 1237-1239, 1255, 1296-1300, 1304, 1483-1485, 1998-2002. Photo nos. 1041-1042, not listed, are also for this building. The competition drawings, photo nos. 812-814 are cataloged separately. Photo nos. 1255, 1484-1485 are absent from this collection. Also, log book 4, p. 98 lists photo no. 4450 for this building. From the competition drawings & the photos of the site in 803 & 804, it appears that the construction illustrated by the remaining photos is of an "L" shaped building with one wing on the corner abutting & integrated with the exist building on Broad St. & the other wing running behind the old building & new construction, at the corner of Columbia & Watts Street.
- Photo no. 956 has sign "J.E. & A.L. Pennock, Contractors and Builders, 1003 & 4 Land Title Bldg., Philadelphia, New York, Washington, Richmond, Va." Photo no. 957 shows a workman standing at the near corner, next to the street sign "W. Columbia Ave.", and another sign "The Burgo Master" leaning against a wagon, midphoto. Photo no. 979 shows "Boggs Upholstery" at 1327 W. Columbia Ave. across Watts St. from the new building. Photo no. 1018 has sign "Ballinger & Perrot, Architects & Engineers, Philadelphia" and partially visible " ...ner-Forman, Concrete Steel Co., ... Contractors, ... Bldg., Phila." Photo no. 1019, called "View of yard elevation", shows the left side of the original building on Broad St., with the wing extending behind from the corner of Columbia & Watts. Photo nos. 1038-1039 are photos of architectural drawings of girders. Photo nos. 1041 & 1045[A] are copies of drawings, cross sections of the auditorium and gymnasium. Photo no. 1483 shows the shops occupying the bottom floor of the new building. On the corner at "1343" Columbia(?) St. is the salesrooms for the Victor Co. See photos of the Camden, N.J. Victor factory complex cataloged separately. Signs are also shows on Columbia Ave, for "Margaret Penn Candies" and "Furniture, Grotz & Kirchner"
